Qualifications:
- Doctorate/Masters degree from an accredited university with emphasis in school psychology, educational psychology, or related field.
- Valid TSPEP Licensure as Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
- Ability to deliver psychological services in a comprehensive educational delivery model.
- Consultation, counseling, assessment experience, and knowledge of Special Education.
- Minimum one year experience providing psychological services in school settings (internship/year of supervision included).
Primary Purpose:
To provide psychological consultation, intervention, assessment, counseling and educational support as required by the psychological services model in conjunction with student and campus needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological services in a school environment.
- Provide consultation to members of the school community including students, parents, campus, and staff.
- Participate in MTSS, 504, and Admission, Review and Dismissal meetings.
- Provide interventions and requirements for behavioral management for behavior needs.
- Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for Special Education needs.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and assist in writing behavior intervention plans.
- Provide recommendations to teachers, other staff members, and parents for behavioral management techniques or strategies for working with a student with behavioral needs.
- Provide inservice training to other departments or personnel as requested.
- Follow all district, state and federal policies and procedures.
